One example of this is the LED television or LED-backlit LCD TV, which growing in popularity in terms of the television technology market. It's become the new valued entertainment systems.

Most conventional LCD TVs use or CCFLs cold cathode fluorescent lamps for the back lighting. [**] the LED televisions use light radiating diodes or LED as a back-light. One of the major challenges with the light giving off diode is the fact that it is too large for pixels on a television screen. So if somebody tells you that the equipment is an LED television, it is never going to be a real one and is likely to have a combination of other technology also. The existing main use of a real LED technology is for huge screens like those big-screen TV's that is's used at sports stadiums.

Given that there's no such thing as true LED television many makers were troubled when Samsung announced the launch of its new TV range. The new range is defined as LED and according to the company because there's a higher share of LED in the television than in any other product on the market ( the average is 40 percent ) so they feel that it is fine to call the range LED.

The main difference that exists between the 2 TVs is the fact that there's a larger degree of contrast with the LED LCD television. The reason is because the more in depth use of the back-lighting LED means that the shadows of various pictures are more claimed. This implies that overall there's a much sharper resolution for the spectator.

Viewers are attracted to the LED television thanks to the fact that it has a whole lot better quality for their viewing experience. But this isn't the only reason. Those that are more conscious of the environment are awfully thrilled to hear that there's a forty percent decrease in the quantity of energy that is used by these new TVs. That suggests that they can have a clear conscience and it is certainly a great selling point for the unit.

There are many other blessings of an LED-backlit LCD TV to compared with a conventional LCD TV, including a wider range of colors, higher refresh frequency, and an even slimmer and lighter television.

The television has come along way and the LED TV is just the most recent wave in the process. Sony started the revolution when it introduced the 1st LED TV and since then the technology has progressed in big leaps. It is clear that we are going to see continuous advancements in this product line and there are exciting times ahead where our TVs are probably going to become sharper and thinner.
